Hyderabad Angels Fund (HAF) has unveiled the launch of its inaugural venture capital fund, a Category 1 Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), boasting a substantial investable corpus of Rs 100 crore, with an additional greenshoe option of Rs 50 crore.
This fund draws support from a diverse set of investors, including seasoned entrepreneurs and industry leaders across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, health sciences, technology, and sustainability. Notably, the management partners themselves constitute the largest contributors to the fund.
With a strategic focus on nurturing disruptive startups leveraging technology and AI, HAF intends to allocate up to Rs 5 crore to each of the selected 20 ventures during their Pre-Series A and Series A stages. The fund underscores its commitment to facilitating future growth through sustained follow-on investments.
